Pandanus copelandii reaches 3 to 9 metres. The leaves grow up to 3 metres long by 5 to 8 cms wide with coarse spines along the margins near the tip. The fruit forms a cylindrical head 7 to 12 cms by 5 to 7 cms and 3 to 5 heads grow on the fruit stalk. A species widely distributed at low to medium altitudes from Northern to Southern Luzon. Bariw leaves are used for making coarse mats and baskets.
