Nito Forest Vine is a climbing fern that grows easily from neighbouring vines. Harvested from the age six months, the vine is green and darkens to brown and eventually black, as it gets older. Today nito basket ware is highly valued for its fine spliced weaving and natural colour variation and weavers apply their traditional skills for tableware and home accessories.
