What a lovely shop we’ve found! Over in Weldon a friend of mine has opened Elegance Found. Weldon is a little village near to Corby, Northants, it’s a sleepy village and I am sure this elegant shop will go down a storm!
Sue and Jen, the owners, are offering the chance to local artists to display and sell their wares. Jen is an artist herself and produces some fabulous pieces, and Sue is the business brains of the operation and is in charge of marketing etc. They are a fun, relaxed and friendly partnership and a godsend if you are a local artist looking for a way of taking your goods to market.
The opening night was lovely, lots to eat and drink, and of course loads of tempting things to buy! The pair have been on the local radio ensuring everyone knows they are there. It’s not open every day but you can check opening hours on their Facebook page.
Here’s what they say about themselves – Elegance Found is more than just a shop. It is a hub for talent and creation. Yes, we sell many bespoke and unique items, as sourced and created by our own resident artists, but we are so much more…
We facilitate workshops, inviting locally sourced talent, to impart their know how onto those who wish to learn new skills, or refresh an old forgotten pastime.
We link creative people together, so as to realise common goals and build community spirit.
Not unlike an art gallery, we also offer our premises for featured artists and crafts people. Promoting the best local talent, and offering a platform for otherwise hidden treasures to flourish and be admired.
Whether you are after unique furniture, a personal gift, beautiful homeware, or a piece of art, we will either meet your requirements, or source something specific to your needs.
Whether you are a budding artist, have secret skills, wish to learn something new, or just want to be involved, then there is something here for you…
There will be workshops too run by various people including ourselves!
